Participant“Did the foreclosure actually get multiple offers? It has been a couple weeks now and it still hasn’t gone pending.”
My agent told me that was the word from the seller’s agent back when I posted my message. Was it a bluff? I don’t know. It is also possible the buyers heard that there were multiple offers and didn’t want a competing situation.
A house I was looking at in Pt. Loma supposedly had multiple offers the first week as well. That was over a month ago and the house is still on the market.

ParticipantFor those looking at the 5892 Madra Ave property, as you know it shares a driveway to 5886 Madra Ave, which on google search pulls up:
http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/roo/600909353.html
“I have a large master bedroom available with private bath, fireplace, jacuzzi, huge closet, and great view of downtown, ocean, and sdsu. The house is around 3800 square feet and comes with a pool table, laundry room, backyard deck, and many others. Call Chris at 925-642-1686 if interested.”
Called the number to find out more. Turns out 3 SDSU students, 1 firefighter school student, looking for 1 more student tenant. $900 for the master bedroom, 3 car garage, “4 parking spots in the driveway” and lots of street parking. The phone belongs to one of the students, who says he’s the “property manager.”
I think someone mentioned in a previous comment that they saw lots of college students in the driveway on a driveby and suspected a minidorm. I guess this confirms it.
Oh and also, the guy apparantly has 2 Craigslist ads, when I called he asked me which I was calling about. He has room in another house with 3 SDSU girls for $720. Unfortunately, for another female student only…
He’s got quite a business, or rich parents.
(I’m new to these forums, I hope I didn’t break any rules by posting the above link and excerpted text)

ParticipantThe first million $ property to go pending this year is. . .
6310 Dwane!!!! Congrats! Can’t say I expected this to be the winner, but it is very big with an outstanding view. Updating the 1980’s decor will be pricey, but when your willing to spend almost 2 million on a home, I guess you have enough extra cash sitting around to make it special.http://www.sdlookup.com/MLS-086006074-6310_Dwane_Ave_San_Diego_CA_92120
