ParticipantHIGHER rates might be on the way if conforming limits go up, so even if Congress gets its way with the law, the result might be unintended:

GuestPoint I was trying to make was that most people are better at complaining than actually doing anything.
Do you even know who your city councilmen are? State representatives or Congressmen? Do you take the time to follow what’s going on? Do you care?
As a recent transplant out from DC area, I’ve noticed that locals out here seem to be generally apolitical. But hey then again maybe I’m hanging out at the wrong strip clubs. I generally get blank stares when I talk politics during the lap dance.
I’m not knocking good discussion on web forums, just take some action every once in a while. I bet the most action many of you get is your hands typing away while your spouse watches American Idol (or Grays Anatomy…or substitute here your spouse’s favorite show that you detest)

GuestI disliked the tactless way that you made your point, but I must admit that there is some truth to it in a general sense. Whether it specifically applies to people on this board, I don’t think either of us know. In general, I am also sick and tired of hearing people complain, and even complaining myself, and agree that more energy could be put into making change rather than talking about it. But then that isn’t exactly the point of this board is it? The point of this board is to present and share housing related information, not to mobilize a movement or launch campaigns.
