Domestic violence. Reality.
Stressed out family.
Lots of conflict
Man hits woman.
Gets arrested.
Loses job.
Now real financial strain.
She wants charges dropped.
Da wont drop charges.
She wishes shed never called the cops.
She recognozes she had some part in the fight. This isnt oj, this is frustrated couple on the edge
She gets evicted, kids are homeless.
They have nothing after $$$ to lawyers.
He stays in jail or prison .
She tries to lie for him at trial or he takes a deal.
They reunite, way worse off, he may now be unemployable, big debt to court. This is societys answer to many problems. Criminalize the hell out of people.
Cops are keeping us “safe!”.There are other ways to solve problems in society than just more law enforcement
June 11, 2020 at 12:12 PM #818198FlyerInHiGuestIsn’t the police where a lot of military go? Where would they go is we defund the police?
June 11, 2020 at 12:15 PM #818197FlyerInHiGuestI see that in low income working class neighborhoods. It’s not just blacks; whites and Hispanics are the same in terms of dysfunction. I have never seen dysfunctional Asians though. I did hear of a Filipina lady who was always fighting with her black boyfriend. Police came many times.
That’s probably why we see at lot of solitarily with black lives matter.Lots of substance addiction. That will be the fall of America.
The police come from riff-raff backgrounds so give them power and they will do bad stuff.
I personally know of a prison guard white woman who hooked up with a druggy Hispanic neighbor. She vacated her unit and moved into her bf’s apartment along with a fierce dog. When the landlord found out and said she could not stay there with the dog, she threatened to sue him for discriminating against emotional support animals. Of course, they got evicted because she didn’t have a lease. If I were the landlord, I would have made sure she got an eviction record. It’s funny how a lot of people including the police who complain of thug culture are thugs themselves.
June 11, 2020 at 12:17 PM #818199outtamojoParticipantThere has to be enough cops that are willing to change.
Vote out the union leaders if they don’t represent you in an acceptable manner.
Don’t ratify the contract that allows bad apples to prosper.
If there are enough of them.
If there aren’t that means there are more than a “few bad apples ” more like over 50% or somethingJune 23, 2020 at 9:45 AM #818422outtamojoParticipantTurns out the shake shack incident was really, really embellished.

Absolutely nothing will change in america.

June 23, 2020 at 9:07 PM #818442spdrunParticipantThere’s a solution to the Shake Shack incident … don’t serve cops in your business. Who needs the liability for false accusations by hypersensitive, roided-out goons? They can’t bitch about having their food tampered with if they’re not welcome.

I haven’t seen on-edge race car drivers kneeling on people’s necks and killing them.or trigger happy and lying about what happens next.
As a foundation of our society cops are expected to be truthful. More so than others. Is this not so?
Should we give their testimony in court less weight or only as much weight as the person they arrested?June 23, 2020 at 10:48 PM #818445outtamojoParticipantThat shake shack stuff even went through several layers, suggesting
institutionalized dishonesty.

[/quote]Sigh. I’m getting tired of explaining things to you.
Even the articles you quote say that the SS drink machine had been cleaned and therefore may have contained some cleaning agents, pointing to the officers making an honest mistake because – tada – they are on edge. NASCAR thought a simple door pull was a noose, when it was actually just a door pull, is because – tada – they are on edge.
Why the h*ll you’d insert kneeling into that conversation I have no idea. Except it allows you to point out that incident once again.

Ok mr I’ve got cop friends so they must be great guys. Being on edge is no excuse to embellish a story. If cops cant be honest and not embellish and lie about stuff they shouldn’t be cops- these types are just not qualified for the job and should not be allowed to live out their fantasy. Your arrogance (svelte splaining) knows no bounds.
