ParticipantSomething to consider, most credit cards charge a fee when you purchase things in another currency (aka Euros). Capital One is one of the few companies that charges you no fees. I hate Capital One…i’ll be honest…but I have paying fees even more!
With that said I have a Chase British Airways Visa and a Amex Platinum in my wallet. They both have always worked great for me.

ParticipantThanx for the update VCJ. I meant Ventura County but had Santa Barabara on my mind. Sounds like you are seeing alot fo what we ave been down here but at slightly elevated levels as our low end was/is much lower than yours.
Not much coming on the market voluntarily these days here either. Kinda expect that to continue for a couple years around here.

GuestI know you already have an Amex, but just some info for others:
If you put at least a few thousand/month on your card and have a family (i.e. spend a lot at grocery stores), the rewards value of the AMEX Blue Cash card works out to be pretty good. I prefer cash-back rewards, as they are the most “liquid.”
