    I couldn’t agree more with some of the comments about the stressful driving conditions and drivers in San Diego. I think its pretty representative of the area. I don’t find Mexico City that bad, except for the occaisional imprudent driver. I think that’s pretty representative of that area, too.

    Whenever I back out of a parking space in Carlsbad or Encinitas and a driver suddenly appears in the lane I am never given the go ahead to pull out. Never, ever, ever:) Even if I am already half out, the driver will zoom right by every single time. Their business is obviously more important than mine and every situation in our SoCal lives needs to be viewed as a competition.

    I bicycle. I understand. One solution is to criminalize speeding. Criminalize the heck out of it. Mandatory 5 days in the county jail. make the fines and penalties stiffer than duis. speed kills. the cost of a ticket and the risk of getting one is not nearly enough.
