Participant
Actually if you think all of the scammers who are scamming craigslist san diego are local san diegans you are mistaken. Usually the scams are much more sophisticated then that especially for the vacation rentals.
And scammers running dozens of filthy, caged litters of puppies just south of the US/MX border.

ParticipantI dont know. I got 3 tix to Chargers preseason game on Saturday. They were only $20 each ($100 face value which admitedly is a rip-off for preseason) and they wer 30 yd line Plaza level on the Chargers side. Called the guy and picked them up in SR on my way to the game. Was an easy smooth transaction. Maybe I’m just blessed.

yeah, sdr, there are some straightforward people out there. I’ve bought a couple of textbooks off the internet (not CL) and met both parties at the same jack in the box in SD – no problems.
also, as I posted on another thread awhile back, I’ve sold lots of gently used toys, sporting goods and ski gear out of my garage and none of the CL responders even argued with my price – just paid me and took the item.
