August 9, 2007 at 2:35 PM #72372GoUSCParticipantIn regards to our project we are advocates for higher denisty housing and the project has it. As the project moves north (and gains significant elevation) we go to lower density just a small area of single family homes. That is to tie into the single family homes of Serra Mesa to the north. That is also something the residents to the north want. The project will also have a direct connection to the trolley station to the south. Regarding the standalone gym, that is just a conceptual and certainly doesn’t mean it will happen at this point.
One thing I am very excited about is that we are going to be the first LEED certified site. Up to know there have been LEED certified buildings but we are the first pilot project for the LEED site certification.

August 9, 2007 at 2:36 PM #72375RudeeParticipantsdr I agree. I live in Solana Beach, and most our friends come from a wide range of backgrounds/income sources (ER docs, ex pro athletes, pilots, attorneys), but most have owned their homes for 6-10 years and I haven’t seen any tom foolery (as far as I know) with HELOCs, expensive new cars, etc. – I love seeing my ER doc buddy going to work in his 17 year old beat up Land Cruiser. If anything three of our friends have invested in property outside of the US. Granted, most incomes are pretty up there though….
