E, you’re right. There’s a lot of phantom inventory here too, in the nature of new construction not in the MLS.

February 22, 2009 at 9:07 PM #352375SD RealtorParticipantI am not a Coronado hater but I would echo Esmiths posting about it. I have to say that of the few listing appointments I have been to on Coronado, the homeowners there are some of the leaders in denial in the entire county.
Personally my wife and I love to take our kids over there. It is definitely one of our favorite beaches and we can bring the dogs as well. Very clean and nice.

I’m part of the daily commuting crowd on Coronado that the tunnel is supposed to eliminate. I guess I don’t understand the attitude that it takes to propose such a project. I seriously can’t see why the public should have to fund a project designed solely to reduce noise and traffic for select owners of Coronado property. I think the project should be paid for completely by dramatically increased Coronado zip code property taxes. Then the residents can enjoy their half of the island in peace. Or is it just me? Ridiculous.
By the way, this sign welcomed me to the island: “We hear the boom we take the box.” How is that for a neighborly greeting (facing the traffic coming off NAS North Island)? I can’t believe the elitist, antagonistic attitude. And that is from the local police department! I can only imagine how bitter the actual residents must be.
