Need a quick check on conventional loan requirements:
Just wondering if our mortgage broker community here could confirm the lowest amount of down payment for a 1st time home buyer (assume excellent credit > 800). It has to be a conventional loan, I’m not talking FHA.
P.S. I knew the lowest amount for conventional is 10% but my wife heard a realtor mention less (just confirming the information floating around).

But a prudent mind might want to consider the current market conditions…which include things that didn’t exist 20+ years ago…I mean two years ago, in an effort to place oneself in the best possible position; like a chess game I guess.
