$200k job sounds good to me. Too bad the country would would not be able to sustain the jobs (as everyone employed currently making minimum wage would become unemployed so they could get a $200k job).

To advocate for this sort of fiscal legerdemain is to ignore both current history (EU countries, specifically Greece and France) and past history as well.
The fundamental illogic of your comments above is going unremarked, but if you simply look at the math, the equation falls apart. We CANNOT afford this. Period. The “job” of government in America is NOT creating jobs. Do yourself a favor and re-acquaint yourself with your country, its history and the intent of the Founding Fathers when they created this great republic.
Or, move to France. I hear things are going swimmingly well there right now.

I thought they believed in survival of the fittest, so why do we have entitlements, welfare, subsidized housing, etc? If Darwin is correct and there is no God, then people should make it or not without help from the government. Or was Darwin wrong and we need to interfere with the prime directive and save the poor and helpless. So which is it?
P.S. That includes no entitlements for the rich. Get rid of the mortgage deduction. I am for a flat tax on everyone. Make it a flat tax or a Fed. sales tax. Put some CPA’s out of work, put the IRS out of work, but it would pay the bills.
