San Carlos is far from downtown LJ. ~20 miles. The commute will be twice as long as from Clairemont – at rush hour. La Mesa (Mt. Helix) just as long too. Chula Vista – even longer. BTW, north RB (near Lake Hodges/North County mall) where I was (near I-15) was not bad – sometimes we did feel cooler breezes.but I am not going anywhere that’s more than 20′-25′ from work – at rush hour. The more east you go, the more choke points at rush hour.
