Wow, Alibaba’s automated hotel.
I love the modern design.
I agree that young people are very comfortable with tech. I have some Airbnbs and young customers just want the door code. They don’t want a lot back and forth communication.
I want something new and high tech. Not interested in the hotel Del. It’s old and creepy creaky.

We’ve stayed at the Hotel Del a few times.
After the last trip, we decided we’d never stay the night again. It was during a heat wave – it was like 100 in Coronado – and the room had no A/C. I don’t think anything in the hotel had A/C, as we sweated through dinner and other activities that evening.
The carpet in our room was wet, and we really felt like the place was not maintained properly.
I have read that management of the hotel has been turned over to a major chain now, so maybe it will improve.
But I think we’ll just stick to visiting for dinner and drinks and save our overnight getaways for other hotels.
