I don’t know if skylights need permits. We had a solar tube installed by the manufacturer – and they didn’t pull a permit.

August 16, 2010 at 12:16 PM #591506lepetitangelParticipantThank you all for the helpful advice.
Yah I’m gettting more attracted to homes built in prior to 1995 when space wasn’t as limited.
The specific townhome/twinhome I saw did not have any HOA (surprising huh?) and has a mello-roos of $85/month. Correct me if I am wrong, does mello-roos run about 30-years? If the house was built in 1991, should the mello-roos be done in 2021? (another 10 years from now). The twin home has a normal size drive way and a decent yard (actually bigger than many newer SFHs’ yards). The only downside is sharing the wall with next-door neighbor.
To me it’s almost like a SFHs as some SFHs have some mello-roos as well. Or I guess I should hold off and keep on waiting.
Any thought on housing price in SD? I was hoping things would drop by winter. What are your thoughts? The price now is quite expensive compared to last March.
