Website with CV condos and homes!
http://www.cv-home.com/Nav.aspx/Page=%2fPageManager%2fDefault.aspx%2fPageID%3d949646
I just found it! It seems pretty useful at least to know where some complexes are. awesome.
I don’t think the twinhomes, La Plage/Winwood, have HOAs and if there’s any Mello Roos left, it’s low. If the twnhm is priced low enough (lower than now) Winwood is not bad
If that website data is right, Windwood doesn’t have MRs, neither does Coral Cove or East Bluff, being older. La Plage & Canyon Ridege have a not so bad MR of ~1000-1200 a year. Pelagos & Montemar MRs are ~700-800/yr.
But yeah, HOAs of $200-300….February 25, 2009 at 9:27 AM #354865ScarlettParticipantWebsite with CV condos and homes!

If I had a choice, I’d consider those over the ones w/HOAs b/c eventually, hopefully, the Mello Roos will be satisfied or close to it and then you’ll have to MR on the older places, whereas the condos will have HOAs forever, w/likely special assessments down the road.
If you want new, though, I think the places along the 56 corridor built during the bubble will be coming down to what the twinhomes are selling for today, which is in the 600-700k or so range now and if I were looking in that area, I’d rather have a new place for that price. Older homes inevitably need maintenance and can get costly.

Oh? I thought that is where (with kids)we’ll do the grocery shopping, eat at Red Robin or Oggi’s, shop in Barnes & Noble, play in the playground near B&N, paint ceramics with the kids at Ceramicafe, go with the kids at JW Tumbles indoor kid gym….There is also a daycare (kindercare?) there. Even though we don’t live in the area a couple times we went in the weekend there and make a combined trip with shopping at the more ‘gourmet’ store there.
