We’ve just got a new lease in La Jolla Colony/UTC area so we’ll stay there a year or maybe even two. We’ll see then where the house market rates are going; hell, we should see where our job are going!!!
If still too uncertain, or too expensive by that again, we’ll rent again but in the PUSD because by then our kid will be in kindergarden. Thing is, we got tired of moving every 2 years, now it’s even harder with a small child. We are trying to go to CMR and PQ often, so we get a feel for the communities, people, stores, parks, etc.February 11, 2009 at 11:10 AM #344778ScarlettParticipantWe’ve just got a new lease in La Jolla Colony/UTC area so we’ll stay there a year or maybe even two. I was under the impression that in PQ you really don’t need the A/C because of the coastal breeze – some told me that, and I found it surprising. I understand saying that in La Jolla/UTC where I live – but that far inland, do you get enough of a breeze?!February 11, 2009 at 11:13 AM #344783ScarlettParticipantYes, nowadays, better check when the owner bought it, and if they are going to have to sell or walk.

Yes, we do need an air conditioner for the house in San Diego.
(…)Second important lession. Make sure the owner will not have a Trustee Sale (…)So now we are looking in a hurry. The PQ homes for lease, I don’t think we will lease. We have gotten spoiled with our rate and newer home.
(…) Wait a year. We decided to wait 1-3 more years. Looks like Mt. Woodson or Scripps Ranch for us and the kids will have to drive.Good luck.

Thanks, KCTxr – good luck to you too! where are you looking to lease? We rent a pretty nice townhome in La Jolla Colony, but it’s like $2400 for a 1700 sf+.
We also thought that we’ll buy in 1-3 yrs, and that we’ll move in PUSD once our daughter is done with preschool – either rent or buy.February 11, 2009 at 11:39 AM #344803ScarlettParticipant[quote=KCTxr]First important lesson. Yes, we do need an air conditioner for the house in San Diego.
