Just got back from driving the new Z4. It is a lot more fun than the TT. Not even close.
Why do you say bmw lease and audi purchase? I plan on purchase and driving at least 10 years.

Did you get the Recaro toddler car seat for your kid? This is what I have in my wife’s car right now. Probably need to get one for my G35 eventually. I would think I’d pick up tracking again once he’s older and I have more free time.[/quote]Hijack…
No, they didn’t make this seat yet when I needed it. Recaro use to only make a front facing seat. I ended up getting a Britax Boulevard, with side impact protection.
Right now, the difference between the Recaro you indicated and the Britax would be a coin toss to me. The Boulevard has been around awhile. Recaro has a great reputation for building good seats. The thing I don’t like about the Boulevard is the lower buckle sits too far in and a big kid will have issues using it. Also my kid figured out how to loosen the strap, so I had to spend a week teaching her don’t do it or you might go into the windshield if I stop suddenly. Britax was Made in the USA, so that was a bonus.
The Boulevard barely fits in my car (the height is the issue). Anyway, my car is being torn down right now, so I’m tooling around a C320 with the car seat, so there’s more space for it.
I found the most useless thing was the Infant Car Seat. I used it a total of 2 times before she outgrew it. 1 time bringing her home from the hospital, 1 time going to her checkup. Lasted for about 6 months.

Uhh, good luck keeping BMW/Audis for 10 years unless you are mechanically inclined or don’t have issues shelling out money on repairs after the 4 years. Also, you essentially are buying a generation 1 of the Z4. The risk of some electrical gremlin is not small considering it’s BMW. Expect to find issues in it. It’s just how it works with these german cars.
After 5 years of ownership, my relative’s 330ic’s ragtop top just stopped working right after the warranty…It seems like the standard repair bill for a BMW after warranty is like $1500 give and take a few hundred… You probably don’t want to keep it longer than 4-5 years….
One other thing minor thing tipping in favor of BMW……BMW includes maintanence for 4 years. Audis I believe no longer do this unless you pay extra. BMW also depreciates less than Audis, though if you do plan on keeping things a long time it doesnt’ really matter.
BTW: wouldn’t it work better for you to lease it and write it off as a business expense?
