Thank you for your imput…Yes, we can fly home for health care..we pay a lot more annual income taxes for the benefit of health care..we were involved in a head on collision and I am grateful that it was available as I needed sooo much help.
The deals in Scottsdale are unbelievable, however, the wife has relatives in Southern California so we comprimised on the location. We have been lucky so far on real estate in Canada and the numbers of sales here are excellent. However, our downturn in foreclosures were like yours in the early 80s and what happens in the USA usually happens here. The advice of renting initially is one that we have considered as our friends here all recommended different areas. The decision to change our direction in life comes at a cost financially but I came to the conclusion that at 53 years old it is time to see the world a little …spend what we worked extremely hard for and meet new friends….we as canadians are allowed to stay six months in your country without any special visas and six months in the Philippines and Canada will balance out the year just nicely..you never know what happens tomorrow…Regards, Greg

70 homes, 150 trailers, 2 lakes, 9 hole golf course ($18 or so). Everyone is heavily armed, and lots of eyeballs so crime is not recommended. A slight fixer sold for $52k recently (not on lake or golf course).
