Participantscaredy,
Just chill.
It’s going to come, but you have to stop fighting these urges. π
Regarding your post on the other thread — wiping out all your retirement accounts, etc. just to buy a house — the answer is NO. (Just MHO) The one last year (I think) sounded best. You know, “The One.” This most recent one doesn’t sound like “IT.”
You’ll find the right house, and you’ll be able to buy it without having to live in poverty for the rest of your lives.
BTW, have you considered getting a hard money loan and getting pre-approved for a loan for when the house is ready for regular financing? Just a thought.

ParticipantWhat is a cracked foundation? I have some cracks running thru in the garage… is this what you would call a cracked foundation?
That sounds really horrible now that I asked.

Unless your garage crack has a 1/2″ or more crevice and one side of the crack is higher than the other (causing a person to trip over it), I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Especially if it is front to back and/or the garage is NOT the same level as your house or NOT attached to your house. Hairline cracks are common in certain parts of SD County.
