How many blond/brunette’s do you see with Asian hubby’s???
Not too many but there are some.
Al Gore’s daughter is married to Chinese-American guy.
It’s changing now. It’s generally (but not always) all a question of wallet size.
Funny you say that, because the blond I dated in school is now a pretty damn good surgeon doing a lot better than me..(I should get credit for some of it, since I did some of her homework)….Which brings me to the next point…
BG, there is one big advantage to going a good school…Your chances of finding people that are smarter than you are greatly increased π

July 20, 2010 at 8:26 PM #580575briansd1GuestLike I said, it’s not always a question of wallet size.
Al Gore’s daughter could have married anybody she wanted. And I’m sure she’ll get a big chunk of her father’s money.
Sometimes, it’s just love, which I don’t think is easily found. Most people just settle before they are over the hill.

July 21, 2010 at 6:58 PM #580995CA renterParticipant

Or maybe American men prefer immigrant women because they don’t take their opportunities in this country for granted. I speak from experience.
Corollary…A lot of those immigrant women are as committed to you for as long it takes them to get a green card…
I don’t know…Frankly, it doesn’t matter where the sign other is from. There’s bad seeds across the border as well as within the borders. I just seriously think some folks have serious rice fetishes (not necessarily you), that’s all. And you can ask just about any guy that married someone chinese from mainland china. I bet more than often their standard MO is
1)Marriage.
2)Purchase house.
2)2-3 years later: 1 kid
3)After 1 kid born : in-laws (outlaws?) move in…”temporarily”
4)…Temhporary? HA HA HA….Sucker!
5)…Listening to (if you could understand) how great opportunity it would be to be in China
6)…She works. But then she expects you do work and do the housework and take her parents in too….I see this all too often….For some of you with those rice fetishes, keep in mind.
1)When you marry, you really end up marrying the entire family…Literally….
2)Chances are your spouse would be more loyal to her parents that to you, even after marriage. Don’t get into a pissing match with your in-laws…
OMG, flu, you absolutely NAILED IT!!! π
BTW, nice allegory in your other post. π
