For sure it would be worst to ingest anything harmful, whether food or medications.
Funny this thread was dug back up. I was at the mall last weekend getting a birthday present for stepson. Went *window* shopping at Nordstrom. Just peaking in the shoe department. Every shoe I checked was made in China. These were NOT low priced shoes. These were designer brand-name shoes made in China. And checking the quality, it was the same as low priced shoes.
Lucky for me, I don’t need/want shoes, but it was disappointing. I remember a lifetime ago when I would go to Nordstrom shoe department and find really nice quality Italian shoes.
Also, looking for clothes for my stepson, just about everything was made in China. And it wasn’t that cheap (quality was, though). I just was thinking back to when I was a teenager. Clothes were not that expensive and were good quality.
So different now. I mean, some of these t-shirts are so thin, looks like they would dissolve on first washing.

BTW: You shouldn’t be buying food made in china OR vietnam to begin with for health considerations ESPECIALLY seafood. For the longest time both Japan and Taiwan banned seafood from china and vietnam because some exporters consistently soaked them in mercury bath to keep freshness.
Yum yum…

Upside= $30,000.00 stays in the US and tons of American jobs are helped.Downside= If you believe the BS about lower quality then maybe, MAYBE you may have to take time and visit the dealer one or two more times for a warranty repair over a Honda or whatever.
Most ‘American’ cars are made in Canada and Mexico. My Toyota Camry was made in Kentucky. My point is that ‘Made in…’ labels can be very misleading in today’s global economy.
