You want to talk about affirmative action? Just like GW Bush, McCain got to where he is based on his last name and his father’s influence, not on his merits.

I have to agree with the above situation as a form of affirmative action that is not legislated, but still practiced and always will be: the good old boy, insider affirmative action. It will not cause me to change sides politically, but I agree with the post.

The grand total of planes McCain crashed is five. Pretty impressive. Especially considering McCain only spent about a total of 20 hours in combat.

My FIL (RIP) who went from flying propeller to jet planes managed 20 years in the Navy without crashing one of their aircraft.
