January 20, 2012 at 12:22 PM #736512AnonymousGuestI made an account just for this. I am a caregiver for the mentally disabled, I love the boys and I would trust them before I would even think of trusting ANY normal person. They’re sweet and soo apreciative. Rehab Centers: Sorry, but people have a choice, when they first start using drugs. Section 8: its called birth control, spend your time finding a job instead of finding some program to hand everything to you.
The mentally disabled never had a choice in becoming who they are. Society is really messed over. If you feel that these mentally disabled adults dont deserve their life, if you dont like it, go shoot yourself cause you’re the waste of oxygen, and i hope you dont have kids and teach them your closemindedness. Or learn a few things about these wonderful boys before you open your mouth. I have these boys arround my 18 month old child and all the others too (seven kids under twelve) they love the kids to death, and its not one way. I trust them with my kids before my neibor. They are great with kids. I really CANNOT believe that anyone could posibly judge someone just because of their mental capasity. You’re “outraged”? REALLY? I’m not God, but these boys have taught me that little things like praise for doing something right is more importaint than money and cars, I have a better day teaching them to sweep and cook than a day with regular people. Maybe these people on here judging are the people with the disabilities. Suposebly there’s hope for humanity.. I really dont think so, reading this.January 20, 2012 at 12:25 PM #736514AnonymousGuestI work in a level four and NONE of the boys have criminal records, and that scale is based on their violence, not criminal. Check your facts.
April 26, 2015 at 1:25 PM #785348AnonymousGuestHi I feel as a mom to a mentally disabled son age 21 which absolutely has no criminal record not even a ticketed violation for even jay walking. That being said for those who do not understand why families don’t take care of the children “forever” is because we realize we won’t be around forever to watch over and make sure they are cared for until the end.
There are those of us who realize the transition is easier now then leading them to believe we will always be around and once we are gone what then? Does this person then become another amongst the homeless without a clue? That is more cruel and inhumane. My son is 21 and mentally can’t keep up with most 13 year olds I’m desperately trying to get him placed even tried with the aforementioned group Terri’s but was told he wouldn’t qualify. I have serious health conditions of my own to include kidney failure I can not guarantee anything for him at this point. With all that being said I would never care if a group home opened in my area.April 26, 2015 at 9:03 PM #785357EssbeeParticipantWow, OLD thread (but interesting). Does anyone know what happened with this situation??

This article says that the Carlsbad city council stood by TERI in the end:
http://www.disabilityrightsca.org/newsarchive/Union_Tribune-2009-02-12.htm
Yay city council!
Also, a quick check of records of the property show it last sold for $1M in Nov 2008, which also matches with TERI/HUD still owning the property.
Another interesting point…look at this group created during the brouhaha:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ebenhouhou/info
Note the prefix on the email addresses associated with that group.
Would it surprise you to know that a family with a name like that lives or did live very close to the TERI house? And facebook page with that surname, located in Carlsbad, shows folks that are white with blonde hair?
So..why the group banner with black skin and African clothes?
I know why I think that banner was used…

The recent incident regarding Fairbanks Ranch resident Jack Doshay has opened a lot of people’s eyes regarding what a pedophile looks like.

Another upstanding citizen from the right side of the tracks.
