Big price reductions in LA!

I trawled by favorite haunts on Ziprealty and although price reductions have been much the same for the last few weeks, I have seen a couple of examples of massive 20% and 33% reductions. The first was in Sierra Madre, and the second in Malibu. Both properties are in the £600-800k price range, and looked to be vastly over-priced originally, but I have not seen anything on this scale to date.

If anyone knows of a Piggington equivalent for Los Angeles I would be grateful to know.
