Wow, thanks for that information Radelow. The couple living in the house don’t look like they have 800K to spend on a house (they’re very young).
It still begs the question why would anyone spend that much for a crummy little house in North Park? 800K would get you a much nicer house almost anywhere in SD county. For that much money you’d think you’d get at least 2 bathrooms!!!

ParticipantI have come to the final conclusion that house buying is completely emotional for a lot of people and that all kinds of sales happen for no reason. I have also come to a conclusion that there are a lot of people out there with lots of money STILL, especially here in San Diego.

Yeah but that is just dumb. You could invest that money overseas and rent something nicer with just the returns. Then buy something even nicer than that after the market corrects.
