A business taping an ad sign to the front of someone’s house without permission is not acceptable under any circumstances.
How would you defenders of these sleazy assholes feel if someone taped a “Palin 2012” sign to the front of your house? Or how about a sign decrying or promoting abortion, or hard liquor, or a porn site? And how big of a sign is acceptable to you? What if the curb painting sign was 10×20 feet? Too big? What is the cutoff? Tell me: why the should anyone other than the homeowner be the one to determine what signs get posted to the front of their homes?
I “work hard” too. But I don’t do it via anonymous sleazebag tactics like these creeps. They leave no phone number on their flyer and no legitimate contact information with their web registry or anywhere on the site. A legitimate business does not need to operate in secrecy like that. But a business looking to scam people or operating with nefarious tactics? Anonymity is Rule #1.
These shitbags can go to hell as far as I’m concerned. If I ever catch them in the act of taping something to my home I can assure you they’ll be quickly seeking a career change by the time I’m done with them.

July 7, 2009 at 8:17 AM #426883CoronitaParticipantHow difficult is it to paint a curb number?
Two cans of reflective paint from rust-oleum will set you back like $6 tops. And you can download a bunch of stencils from online….I mean, I can’t believe there are businesses to do this. Only in america i guess.

November 14, 2010 at 10:18 AM #631478AnonymousGuestI doubt that’s illegal, it is illegal however to put anything in a person’s mailbox, but how can you get mad at someone for trying to make money somehow. Especially with how things in the economy are going. Now a days people are getting mad at anyone who is ASKING for your help to CONTRIBUTE to their business, like myself I have a curb painting business but it’s too small for me to actually get any liscences. If you do your research you will find that to get a liscence you have to make a certain amount of money. So I believe that answers that, and why they left it on your house rather than giving it to you or putting it in your mailbox, well maybe you and everyone else should consider that maybe the people who are curb painting have had a very hard time finding a job, and result in this. I come across alot of mean people thinking i am scamming, but how is it scamming if the job is getting done, nothing in life is free so you shouldn’t expect your curb to be painted for free when you obviously can’t do it yourself why not help another and pay them to do THEIR job instead of expecting them to do it for free or not even bother, there gonna try, because they have no other choices at the moment. i hope you sleep well tonight now knowing that you have no reason to be mad at someone for attempting to work rather than ask you for money on the street.!!!!
