Don’t know why you think this is a scam or that they are damaging houses. The website has only been operational a few months, but it works and has the same information as the flyer.
My personal experience and that of my neighbors… my curb side numbering was long gone so I spent $10 with this firm. they sanded down the curb. put down the white background paint, then the reflective numbers in black via stencil. looks great, in sunlight or at night. put up their flyer on my garage using blue painters tape so no chance of damage. don’t know that their flyer taped to the garage is any different then the numerous other flyers or cards left on my front door, mailbox or porch.
I see it as a few guys trying to earn a buck offering a service that I will never get around to doing on my own. In my mind, $10 well spent.
Don’t know that the Chargers are going to be upset that their logo is being placed on the curbs of San Diego homes. One of my neighbors choose this option and it’s Charger baby blue and looks nice.
Another view on this service for Piggs to consider.
edited to note: they only paint numbers for folks who pay up front… this isn’t a do the service and bill folks who didn’t ask for the service. There are several neighbors who didn’t opt in and their numbers are unchanged.

June 5, 2009 at 9:09 PM #411246fredo4ParticipantThe thing that annoys me about these people is that the notes always say to tape the note to your curb if you DON’T want them to come.
I wouldn’t have any problem with it if it was done the opposite way and you taped the paper to the curb if you wanted the service. They count on people either forgetting about taping the note or being tricked into thinking it’s a city requirement to make money. I think it’s completely obnoxious.June 5, 2009 at 9:09 PM #411946fredo4ParticipantThe thing that annoys me about these people is that the notes always say to tape the note to your curb if you DON’T want them to come.

i agree, but these folks dont post and do the work and expect payment. it’s clear, they post, ask for a response/payment and only do the work for those who pay.June 5, 2009 at 9:36 PM #411739beachloverParticipantfredo,
