    I am seeing a similar situation in my area. In view of the recent move down in interest rates (the 10 year is 3.09 this morning), this dearth of activity is particularly telling. Is the market going to finally collapse despite near record low interest rates?

    Edit: Interest rates are now at their lowest levels on record.

    I see that inventory has spiked over the last month or 2 in the areas that I watch also. Does anyone monitor NOD/Foreclosures w/ realty track or similar?
    I usually watch the daily changes on SDL and it seems like since after last Thursday the nod/foreclosures have dropped off a cliff but it could be just be the way SDL posts them.

    Seeing inventory increasing could but may not be a precursor to price declines from current closed sale levels. You need to take the next step which is to have someone who knows what they are doing dissect the activity in the manner SD R and I just explained above.

    I am price indifferent. I just want to see the pig go thru the python – that and jobs will fix everything imo. According to Pisani on CNBC, we have
    the lowest absolute inventory of new homes for sale in 40 years….
