eagleeye
ParticipantI just went through this process a few days ago. Navy Federal qualified me. Rates rose significantly this week but I don’t think they’ll stay up this high. NFCU required a LTV no greater than 75% and 12 months of reserves.
I also spoke with a mortgage brokere who wasn’t able to find an investor willing to fund a loan of that size in California with a LTV above 70%.
Things just seem to get worse by the day.

ParticipantI agree with you eagleeye… It is really tough out there. I have a few brokers that I have recommended to people for some of these jumbos and they are getting done but yeah things are really tight right now.

ParticipantDon’t know if you had chance to speak with John Simon of Pacific Capital (Rich’s associate)?? He steered me to San Diego County Credit Union. I closed last week on an excellent loan – my wasn’t jumbo though.
I’d check with John – his email address is on another thread!
