Flu, for the record, professional money is not old money.
Old money spans generations. The professionals are just the gatekeeper class for the establishment old money.
What make you think CV don’t have plenty of those old money? Like I said in my other post, most new money can’t truly afford CV. They’re trying too hard to be old money and live in an area where old money buy/live as their first house.December 4, 2015 at 10:01 AM #791863FlyerInHiGuest
Semantics semantics. Carmel valley old money = owners before circa 2006.
Good sense of humor.
People who bought in the 90s are the poor priced-in folks without new BMWs.December 4, 2015 at 10:08 AM #791864FlyerInHiGuestCome on, yuhtey has a good sense is humor. So does scaredy. We are not meant to have what we want.
About the Asian stuff, Buddhist zen people have everything from within, so the outside doesn’t matter. The outside is nice to have, but not need to have.

i love all the CV folks trying to tell me that, because it’s not to my taste, that i “just can’t afford it” and that it’s above my class. has my point been proven without me saying anything?

Wings n Things? That’s some nasty shit. Been there once and never been back. Now I’m understanding where all of these rants are coming from.December 4, 2015 at 10:14 AM #791867yuhteyParticipant

the only positive about mira mesa is that wings n things. mmmm.

Now, you’re the one who need to live a little.
BTW, I live in the ghetto, so bay club is way out of my league.

Well, most of the people here don’t live in Carmel v. And I didn’t say you couldnt afford to live in Carmel valley. You just seem to have unrealistic expectations give the current market conditions and location and size you expect to be able to buy.
It’d like complaining that Porsche wants a $25k markup for the GT4 and calling it a shit car because with the markup it is almost the same price of a 911s. Sorry, the GT4 might be overpriced and overly expensive, but a shit car it is not. In fact, the fact that they can find buyers at $25k above says there is a market for it. Whether you want to play in that game or not is completely up to you.
That, and whether you want to admit it or not, you do have a snobbery thing going on too. Above the snob level of I would say your typical carmel valley home owner below $1.1 million such that people in that category would think you are a snob… But below the snobbery of the homeowners that buy the $1.5+ homes. Perhaps that’s why you think the way you do, because your own snobbery makes you gravitate towards those even worse. You are in the wrong crowd, most likely out of choice, because the other crowd, you probably think you are too good for. So like I said, enjoy renting.
You see, I live in Carmel valley. But unlike you, I don’t thumb my nose at Mira Mesa. In fact as far as investment goes, it did quite well. So perhaps call me old fashion, but I look at Mira Mesa purely in terms $$$$$.
Oh snap, shit sorry AN. Never mind, Mira Mesa sucks… Never.mind…

We don’t want that kind of snobbery here. Keep it in your upscale lizardland. We only take ghetto lizards here. Snobby lizards don’t fit in here and will just be miserable.
December 4, 2015 at 10:28 AM #791872yuhteyParticipanthow many metal detectors does the mira mesa high school have? seems like a few may be in there.
December 4, 2015 at 10:31 AM #791873anParticipantProbably at least 100 metal detectors. That’s why it’s called the ghetto.

You’re the only one whose mentioned your “class”. And if it’s not to your taste why are you keeping such close track of theCV RE offerings?
