Does anyone know for sure, what will happen to brokerage accounts? I have heard that in its capacity as a custodian, these accounts aren’t affected, or that SIPC insurance covers the accounts, but not their market values, or that the Fed’s bail out saves insurers from having to carry the burden anyway. What’s to stop them from having raided brokerage accounts?
