Hi Matt,
I’m a buying customer and I’m negative because your office added an addendum asking me to pay over 9 thousand dollars because the bank who accepted my offer was “only” paying 4% commission. If I didn’t pay something, your team said they would go to someone else. That’s unethcial and not right. The bank accepted my offer with the terms in my original purchase agreement and I should have no obligation to pay realtor’s commission as a buyer, especially after the fact and when the agent tried to slide it in. I sent multiple e-mails and called your office many times to voice my opinion about the unethical practices and nothing changed. A VP in your office is forcing it and said if I want the house, I’ll pay it. The “Compliance Transaction Fee” that Battiata charges is also ridiculous. I’ve never seen that in my life as a buyer. I’ve worked with other realtors who do everything to make the experience good, and the people I’m dealing with at Battiata are just the opposite. I wish I had something positive to share about your business, believe me! I will continue to get the word out because I would never, ever treat customers like your Company is doing. If you can fix it I will think differently but I don’t have my hopes up.January 30, 2009 at 7:22 AM #339036AnonymousGuestHi Matt,

I refused to sign the addendum countless times and when I finally got in touch with a VP in their office after multiple attempts to reach him and no call-backs, I was told that I’ll pay it if I want the house. It’s too bad I like the house because otherwise I would have held firm. I explained exactly what you’re saying after talking with 2 different realtors, and they don’t care.

January 30, 2009 at 9:53 AM #338682teatsonabullParticipantI’d threaten to call KUSI’s Michael Turko on this one. F! Battiata, man….I doubt he’d like to be dragged into this on the 10 o’clock news.
