Has anyone tried out the Bankrate.com Safe & Sound tool?

Supposedly it rates and tracks the stability of banks & credit unions. How accurate is it, if at all?

It seems to look at the financial statements of the banks, which is all anyone can do.

According to the tool, wamu is pretty much f’d.

The two other banks I use are good.
