Actually, the most popular bill to counterfeit is $20, because for the very reason that $100 is often suspected of being so.
I find $100 bills useful on occasions for moving from one account to the one that’s linked to my mortgage on the occasions that I forget to e-transfer before the due date, since banks don’t hold cash (just checks).
