Arrowood Oceanside

Any thoughts on Arrowood? Currently looking at Sea Country most floor plans mid 400’s. Tri Pointe begins building same price range this fall and toll brothers as well. I anticipate toll brothers being expensive, and i have never heard of tri pointe. Any thoughts on this community would be appreciated. Thanks

I lived in Oceanside for many years and I like the city, however, I personally would not live in Arrowood. It is very far out from where most people work. In rush hour in the morning and evening, it can easily take over 30min to get to I-5. Oceanside gets a bad rap for gang activity – I think that much of the city is just fine; HOWEVER, the area near Vandegrift and N. River Rd DOES have pretty significant gang activity. To get to Arrowood, you have to drive past that area. I think that the Arrowood development put in large higher-end houses in a place that really doesn’t make sense. Again, I have nothing against Oceanside itself but I would personally look at somewhere other than Arrowood.

We will both be at Campen, is there another way to get there than the I5? Besides the commute, why else would you suggest looking else where? Any other community suggestions? We are also starting to look at Carlsbad, but the sq ft and pricing is just not as good, but i guess that has to do with the crime. Are there other communities in Oceanside you would suggest?

Arrowood is practically within walking distance of the back gate — do a map recon.

I don’t think there’s much else in the way of new construction around Oceanside, and inventory of good resale homes seems kinda low at the moment.
