…are you serious that a used RH is cheaper than a brand new RAV4?…
Just go to:
http://www.edmunds.com
Find 2009 Toyota RAV4 and click on the most expensive version. Now check all the available options (just make sure you don’t duplicate, as some options include others) and you’ll see that it’s $35K+.The best place to search for certified used cars (make sure it’s “Certified” so that it has extended manufacturing warranty) is http://www.autotrader.com.

December 30, 2008 at 11:38 AM #321713LAAFTERHOURSParticipantI scoured Ebaymotors, cars.com and autotrader as well as used Edmunds when I was looking for a car for my wife back in September.
Was looking at Used TL’s and found a 2006 with 19K miles for 20K (which included nav). I have a friend who works for Manheim look up the black book value and this price was under black book so bought it.
Deals are everywhere..

December 30, 2008 at 11:52 AM #321779PKMANParticipant2009 New Car Sales Will Be Very Bad
Because shrewd shoppers like us are taking advantage of the current economic downturn and buying barely used certified luxury nameplates flooding the market with low mileage and excellent condition for less than their brand new common brand’s brethren.
Lexus RX / Toyota Highlander
Acura TL / Honda Accord
Infiniti G35 / Nissan AltimaIf you’re in the market for a brand new Toyota, Honda or Nissan, don’t bother! You can now buy the certified luxury version for less…possibly a lot less.
