ParticipantSome are retaining value, some are not. Take a look at most SUVS not named lexus or MB.
All american rides have dumped. 2007 Xc90s can be had cheaply. I have an 06 xc90 and even though I paid under invoice, Im still not getting even value (accept from the gap insurance estimate).
Deals to be had, just depends on your interest.

CoronitaParticipantNew, probably not….Depends a lot of make/model..
Used. Probably. Lexus RX’s are about to get a lot cheaper, especially with the redesign around the corner too. π

New Acura MDX’s were being sold at firesale prices. a 2007-08 was selling well below 2004/05 prices.
Personally, not a big fan of the RX. Not that great driving dynamics for me, and Toyota likes to nickel and dime on every single option.
I think the Mdx is a great deal for what it’s worth, and if you want to go cheaper, the Honda Pilot (though not a fan of the current generation styling). There’s also the X5 which I dig, though reliability is always an issue. And Mazda CX7/CX9 is pretty good…
But that’s my biased opinion.

Participant
Happened to go online to check out some 2008 Lexus R350. They are not cheap…
Depend on your definition of “cheap”. You can get a 2008 RX350 with relatively low mileage and 3+ year warranty (new + certified) for less than a fully loaded brand new Toyota RA4…and the RA4 is nowhere near as luxurious, plush or feature-loaded. Wouldn’t you consider that a good deal? I would.
I’m shopping for a 2008 Acura TL based on the same logic that I can get a better certified car with comparable warranty service than a brand new Honda Accord.
