ParticipantI think many men want children. They just want them for different reasons than women want them.

Participantjpinpb, I asked my brother and sister–who both have kids– that exact question: if they could do it over again, would they? They both said no but that they love their children. I am #13 out of 13 kids, and am the only one who doesn’t now have children. I would like to, but I’m not so sure about having a wife what with my sense of marriage a la generation ME. I would gladly accept the challenge of being a single parent and would hesitate to label such a calling “work” but of course since I’m not a parent this is all quite easy for me to say.
Have you read “100 years of solitude”?

ParticipantHi Nost,
I read that in spanish. I think I got about 75% of it . Very high lexicon If that is how you say that? I also read La Hoja Rasca and Amor En Los Tiempos de Cholera. Be careful with that reading it as grim as it is amazing.Another book that comes to mind is the Adventures of Dorian Grey. For what ever reasons this thread is causing me to have associations with that book. I am not sure if it is you or davelj or me?LOL
