I got one, don’t have the info handy but it sounds about right
5% Amazon purchases
2% gas etc…The only reason I got one was because I got $70 Amazon cash for signing.
Still on my 30 day free trial AP, may not keep it,
Seems to me they add the shipping into the cost on most stuff.

OK HQ2 now not being built in NY, so how about SD?
Just kidding.

No foreign transaction fees which work out well since I bought stuff from Amazon in UK, Germany and Italy. Shipping is surprisingly cheap but slow. Just bought 29 3d blurays yesterday from Amazon Germany.
No regrets about having the card. Only drawback is that its another thing preventing you from ever dropping Amazon prime but I don’t plan on doing so.
Most of the time I use the Costco Citi card.
February 14, 2019 at 11:30 AM #811775FlyerInHiGuestI hate amazon because of market dominance.
That said, I love amazon because is cheap prices. I buy designer faucets and home remodel stuff on Amazon. Amazon warehouse deals is perfect for me.
I love globalization and the commoditization of everything, so everyone has access to nice stuff. The products become immaterial, what’s important is the curation.I have Prime and the card, but it don’t pay much attention. If you choose slow ship you get digital rewards which I don’t even use…. my rewards often expire.

Just got my Amazon Visa and $70 gift card. Cool.
Amazon prime is worth it for me. I split my membership with a family member.
I find that prices at Walmart.com are pretty comparable. Amazon for a lot of home improvement projects is cheaper than say Home Depot.

The 5% is pretty good but other cards are 2% everywhere.
The extra 3% is worth $150 a year if you spend $5000 a year on Amazon.

Yes, I already got those chase bonuses. So I’m not eligible again….
The Aerospace credit union credit card sounded too good to be true, so I called. Those rebates are only good for the first year… I knew it. If they really were 5% cash back for gas purchases, I would ditch my costco visa.
My amazon purchases totaled slightly less than $30,000 in 2018, lol. Lots of business related purchases, property improvement stuff, school stuff, robotics for educational stuff, donation stuff, automotive stuff. I’m getting about $950 cash back on my costco visa, at roughtly 1.5% rebate. That comes out to about $63,333.33 charged to my costco visa in 2018, and no I didn’t charge the cost of my new miata completely to it. That was in 2017 and dealer only allowed me to charge the $3000-4000 deposit..
I’m waiting for a credit card to offer an introductory 1 year 3% rebate on “everything”…. That will be the year all charge all my property tax bills in San Diego County…. lol. SD County property tax convenience charge is 2.2%
