Another little hedge of my RE ultralong position

It’s hard for me to hedge because I am so bullish on our local RE.

Nonetheless, I started a new position, buying TBT, an ultrashort treasury etf. You aren’t supposed to hold these long term but it will do while I think of another hedge.

I am also short Invitation Homes, a SFH REIT. It doesn’t seem to be that correlated with residential real estate however.

Isn’t tbt an inflation hedge?

It’s a literal long term interest rate hedge. It would be an inflation hedge too to the extent they are correlated.

However, there’s tons of ways to hedge inflation, and I don’t think it is a particularly good one.
