    I have been watching this site for over 4 years, wanting to buy in this neighborhood for over 6 years. First post. I realize it may not yet be time but I am at least ready to retain an agent to look now in case we get lucky and prepare for the future, when it might finally be time (I hope). Recommendations for University City buyer-friendly (and patient) agent please! Thanks!

    It may not be a good time to be buying, but it’s a great time to be looking. Getting to know your market a year or two before you buy is always a good idea. It allows you to make better decisions and make decisions independent of your agent, who may know the market but not always act in your best interest.

    I didn’t use an agent. (Bought from my father). But I can ask friends who they used. I’ll post back after I talk to them.
