However, we often discuss very serious matters here, but if you write “alot” or “reciept,” or confuse accept with except, principle with principal, to with too, do with due, sale with sell, fomerly with formally, its with it’s, affect with effect, etc., etc., it’s very hard for others to take your writings seriously!
I always double check what I write before clicking on the submit button. It’s a simple matter of courtesy: If you expect others to read what you’ve written, the least you can do is read your own post once before you submit it.
Spanish is my first language, but that’s no excuse for not trying to write well. Heck, even nine-year olds can write properly if they apply themselves!

Sometimes my best stuff comes when I can no longer safely operate the cut and paste to MS word for spell checking. Art and Science cannot be blended without wine.
