While I’m not entirely opposed to the idea of an Obama presidency, I would certainly hope the Republicans would have at least 41 senators to provide some counterbalance.
The threat of trade protectionism is my biggest worry.

Quite frankly, I’ve never seen a time when more rights were taken away than under Bush and the Republican Congress. The Republicans have been downright frightening. Patriot Act, anyone???
This list above sounds very refreshing, and I look forward to seeing if we might see better results than what we’ve had the past eight years. Time to see the resurrection of the middle class in America (at least we can give it one last try)!
Bring it on!!!! π

They have drifted so far from traditional republican views that they are more democrat than republican. Out of control spending, weak on illegal immigration and border control and expansion of government.
Unfortunately it is going to take 4 yrs of Obama to send a clear wake up call to not only the republican party but for the general population as well.I just hope Obama and the far left have not done too much damage that can not be repaired.
The 75% of the current republican senators and congress need to be replaced with more “traditional” republicans. They have strayed way too far from the fiscal conservatism of the past. They have really fu$#ed things up.
One party having complete control is a very scary concept, and with the Dems leaning so far left it makes it a potential nightmare.
