I saw it and thought it sent a message, also. Whether or not it will get people changing their eating habits, I don’t know ….
April 5, 2012 at 3:40 PM #741168svelteParticipantRodney King.
April 5, 2012 at 4:16 PM #741170Diego MamaniParticipant“Cigarettes are a delivery device for tobacco” from an old 60 Minutes piece
I thought today’s piece was going to use this line from the Simpsons:
“Candies are a delivery device for sugar!”April 5, 2012 at 4:24 PM #741171ocrenterParticipant
Rodney King.
Was on a sugar high?

His mention got the conversation really rolling on another thread, thought it might work the same magic here!
April 6, 2012 at 8:59 AM #741173svelteParticipant“Rodney deserved it because he was high on sugar!”
“No he wasn’t, it was the cops who ate all those donuts! They had the sugar high!”
“Yeah, but that’s their right as cops. Rodney is an ex-con who held up a bakery to support his sugar habit.”

April 6, 2012 at 9:10 AM #741194AnonymousGuestIt gets worse…
A recent study has shown a high correlation between sugar and lane switching.
The study goes into all the important details like source of sugar, what kind of car they were driving, and specifically what lane the drivers were using.
BMW drivers were the worst.
(Thought that might help also…)
April 6, 2012 at 10:23 AM #741200briansd1GuestLet the free market work. Those who are addicted to sugar have all the information they need. If they continue to consume, they deserve to die earlier anyway.
Never mind that sugar, salt and other junk is in most packaged food. People always have the option to cook from scratch at home.

You sure BMW drivers aren’t trying to mix the sugar with the gasoline and inhaling instead?
*Sniff* *sniff*
April 6, 2012 at 11:03 AM #741209Diego MamaniParticipantSugar is responsible for the drop (or rise?) in fertility rates! This is Demography 102; see the statistical evidence behind the Grapes of Wrath story (more sugar coming out of the grapes!)
April 6, 2012 at 12:15 PM #741216no_such_realityParticipantRocket science: one Venti caramel frappucino – 81g of sugar 510 calories.
Or 2 large apples, a giant 9 inch banana and 2 medium oranges, 81 grams sugar 465 calories.
The first is mindlessly slurped down by most on their drive to the office, the second, most would feel stuffed if eaten in a single sitting.
