5682 Dartford Way Del Cerro

I know this area well. I grew up close by.

Plusses; Del Cerro is a nice area, in general well kept homes with good people both young and old. Windmill Farms grocery store near by. Good elementary school. Fairy close to all San Diego has to offer. This house is next to the Neighborhood pool and tennis court. You have to become a member to use it but it is conveniently close.

Minuses; This micro area is the bottom both geographically and economically. and feels that way when you are in the area. The park does not have a real play area for kids except inside the pool area. The rest of the park is open to the public but seems to be full of over grown trees and bushes and does not seem well maintained except inside the club area. I would not want my kids going through the park alone. Being close to I-8, there is quit a bit of freeway noise at night.

thanks for your input. we just recently moved to SD and are looking to buy in the del cerro area becuz my husband works nearby and we would like my son to go to Hearst Elementary. We are planning on going to the open house for this house this weekend, but I just wanted to see if anyone here had any scoop on the house. Thanks again!

MsMack, nothing on that particular house, but there are a few other properties in that “lower” Del Cerro area on the market, or with a seller looking to get out. One in particular is 5667 Raymar that was listed a while back. The owner has another property over by Hearst, on Lomond, (not sure if she ever listed it), but it was passed down through family and I believe she wanted out.

maybe you could contact that owner to ask about the other property (Lomond) she has as well. Maybe she wants out more than ever since she was not reasonable with her price before and didn’t ever lower her price enough to sell. So she very likely still has both places and may be looking for an exit on at least one! (She wanted to sell both and upgrade, at least earlier this year that was her plan).

Maybe one of the realtors on this board can go to the MLS and get the owner’s name and contact info, then you can contact her.
