I’m lucky because San Diego is relatively affordable for me. I rent and I can always temporarily move in with my dad or my sibblings within 24 hour notice. I also own houses that I can move back into if I so choose.
But I completely understand families who struggle to afford functionally obsolete wood bungalows for $500k. Doesn’t make much sense.
There are greener pastures outside of San Diego.
