ZK I’m in your camp, but yeah, I’m really interested in meeting Jg and PD! Funny how that is sometimes!
And, just to clarify, the meeting’s at 5:30 now. There is something going on at the restaurant prior, so we moved it back a little.
I really encourage all of you to come. Everyone is very different in person, and in a very positive way! I think email/The Internet/Blogs being what they are, one always read’s one’s own point of view/perspective into the tone of a post, and when you actually meet people in-person, it’s a totally different experience!
November 16, 2006 at 5:59 PM #40165PDParticipantI'm not very good at talking about kittens (see video for explaination).
November 16, 2006 at 7:33 PM #40172AnonymousGuestHa, ha, PD! I’ll be snarky and say that I don’t think anyone has you mixed up with someone ’emanating natural sweetness.’
Just joking, PD, I can clearly see your good side.
November 17, 2006 at 11:08 PM #40242barnaby33ParticipantAre we still on tomorrow?
Josh
November 18, 2006 at 1:14 AM #40243lindismithParticipantYes we are!
See everyone tomorrow.
I will try to find my, ‘hello, my name is’ stickers… I think they are still in my trunk, from last time….
November 18, 2006 at 11:01 AM #40259equalizerParticipantI’ll try to make it, if the little youngster isnt giving me the sad face, play with me. π
I was hoping sdrealtor would make it, as well as carlisle guy from across the pond.Maybe we should just put rich on all the stickers and guess on the names. might be a fun icebreaker. Like you said, people are much friendlier in person, hard to malign someone when you see them as jolly humans instead of just some matrix computer.
November 18, 2006 at 12:07 PM #40264lindismithParticipantYeah, I think last time we had close to 30 people… but can’t remember.
It will be getting dark by 5:30. The restaurant’s location is the far end of the parking lot. When you turn in, it is all the way over on the left.

If you get lost, call (760)753 6425 and the restaurant can give you directions. I doubt anyone will because it is so easy to find, but just in case.November 18, 2006 at 12:17 PM #40266sdrealtorParticipantNot that I don’t love you all but on weekends I’m either working or playing with my kids. These days I’m also very busy with a start-up business for my wife. Sorry.
Have a blast!

Sadly, I will be making the trip up to LA for a pre-thanksgiving dinner with some friends. Then we take our dog sheep herding in Malibu for the first time! I’m not sure if the pup will chase the sheep, or attempt to eat them. Either way, it will be an interesting time!
I hope everyone has a good time at the meet-up! It would certainly be fun to meet all of you (if you exist of course, and aren’t just some kind of computer program robots).
Try and talk about housing and not about Bush or investing! π
November 18, 2006 at 4:05 PM #40277PDParticipantIt looks like I’m not going to make it tonight. π
November 18, 2006 at 4:32 PM #40279powaysellerParticipantPD, I am dying to meet you, so I’m disappointed I’ll have to wait…
November 19, 2006 at 10:47 AM #40295AnonymousGuestVery nice evening, yesterday, folks. Lindi and Rich, thanks for being gracious hosts.
My son was pleasantly surprised to see that zk, barnaby33, and powayseller did not have horns and red skin (ha, ha).
It was very nice conversation with equalizer, cavewireman and his lovely wife, Rich, and barnaby33. And, to top it off, USC beat the heck out of Cal!
Thanks, again, and see you next time.
November 19, 2006 at 11:05 AM #40296lindismithParticipantYes, good to put a face to the user name, JG – and others!
JG, your son is so polite! Nice job!
Nice to see a few lurkers there too! You guys better start posting – you know who you are!
We’ll have another one next quarter.
November 19, 2006 at 11:31 AM #40299powaysellerParticipantGreat evening! Hopefully we’ll meet more at the next meet-up. I should have made a toast to Rich for starting this website, and being the pioneer in exposing the housing bubble. I’m really mad at myself that I didn’t think of it until after I left. So here’s a belated toast to you, Rich.
