Ozman,
Congrats on selling your other house. You got a pretty good price too. Even though the prices are a bit lower in your hood this year, homes are definitely selling much better than last year. With 29 closed sales and 11 in escrow its well ahead of the 34 sales last year. I wouldnt be surprised to see the closing reach 50 by 12/31.sdr

True; but I would doubt if anybody who wants to buy a holiday home in San Diego with cash will be rejected. All said and done, the visas are just a filter to keep poor people out. If they ever refuse a Visa to such a guy, it will be the ultimate irony. No visa for a cash buyer and no need for a visa to Jose from TJ to come and pick lettuce for sub-minimum wage!

August 7, 2007 at 3:58 PM #71476PerryChaseParticipantvrudny, you were smart to marry a hot Chinese woman. She’ll stay young, beautiful and thin for a long time. I come across as shallow also so I know what you mean. π
I’m sure she’s very intelligent as well. No wonder you’re able to take advantage of investment opportunities in China.
BTW, I agree with your post on the rise of China on a different thread.
Your kids will definitely have a leg up in the 21st Century. Make sure they spend the summmers in China learning Mandarin.
About Vancouver, I don’t love the city for the weather. I love it for winter sports and for the excellent chinese food. Downtown Vancouver is also pretty nice.
