I might need you to buy a few loaves of bread for me, and then I’ll pick it up at your place.
No problem, just let me know.
Sigh, I was hoping you would say, no, get your your own bread.
I worked really hard to get in shape, knowing I have an easier way to get the “goods” from 85c is not going to be helping me keep it…. Not good :(
LoL, just go run a 1/2 marathon and you’re all good ;-).
July 23, 2016 at 11:05 PM #799898bearishgurlParticipant

Typical nativist tendencies from BG who doesn’t like change. In Florida people bitch, in Hawaii, even Vegas people want to “take back Vegas.” My friend’s mom bitches all the time about new comers ruining Toronto.
BG, the hills are chopped off because there better building technology than in the past. It’s either build up or sprawl out. People are coming. You like to say “it is what it is”.
Move out if you don’t like traffic. Let us become a big city.
BTW, Mira Mesa is so much better than in the past. Many more restaurants. There is an 85c bakery now. I don’t eat baked good but I have friends who like it. Mira Mesa will be much better with the future trolley.
Edit:
Haha, flu I posted before reading your post
Trolley? Does anyone have a projected new trolley route map to post??
I’ve posted about this several times in the past. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Diego_Trolley. It will be built with the Stone Creek master plan (mix used, medium density development), which will increase MM population by about 15-20%. http://miramesatowncouncil.org/doc/Plangrp/Stone%20Creek/StoneCreekUpdate2016Jan.pdf750k sq-ft of business space, 174k sq-ft of commercial space. I’m super stoked about this project. A LOT more jobs right here AND A LOT more retail space (i.e. restaurants and activities), not to mention more parks and trails. This project can’t start soon enough IMHO.
Oh, yikes! City has approved stuffing over 4400 units (another ~10K people?) over land owned by Vulcan Materials in an already extremely heavily congested area? What have you been smoking, AN? What, if anything, was already manufactured there? Isn’t that area a known Type A flood plain and/or part dry riverbed? Has any of the soil on those parcels ever been remediated? City was apparently just desperate to find any remaining strip of land they could (however undesirable) to “upzone” for the explicit purpose of directing more property tax and sales tax revenue to themselves. Nevermind if it formerly used to house gas storage tanks or as a longtime quarry. “Build, build, build” … it’s absolute lunacy … Mission Valley is next …
Sounds like another San Elijo/Porter Ranch environmental disaster-in-the-making … :=0
July 24, 2016 at 12:31 AM #799899CoronitaParticipantAN, I think we’re at stage 3 of bittergurl ranting about another different subject now. I’m not sure how land belonging to Vulcan materials has anything to do with methane gas leak on a live petro pipeline in Porter Ranch, or where she pulled out of her ass that that this area is in a flood zone…..Can you elaborate on WTF this could possibly mean?
I’m guessing this is just another non-factual outburst from someone suffering from dementia as age settles in, and it sounds it’s more desperate attempt for pulling for facts that support an opinion then the city of MM is desperate in selling any strips of land… But that’s ok. She sure missed out on a nice real estate boom in this area, lol…I wish the the majority of the people were thinking the same way, so there would be less competition for it.
July 24, 2016 at 9:20 AM #799908anParticipantBG, study up on the facts before you post. This project has been planned for over 20 years. It was originally planned to be even denser. I would have loved them even more if they would increase instead of decrease the density. But either way, it’s a big net positive for MM. Once it’s done, I can walk to a lot more restaurants.
July 24, 2016 at 10:46 AM #799912FlyerInHiGuestIt’s not dementia but staying home all the time and being out of touch with change and how other people live.
I know some folks who never deviate much from their routine and are angry with traffic, angry about little things they view as encroaching on their way of life.I’m not crazy about Dim Sum but I will go with friends for the noisy atmosphere. It’s part of the experience. I’m glad to see Mira Mesa attracting all different businesses. For people north of the 52, it’s a good destination for Asian food and shopping at HMart. I buy my fresh healthy produce there or at Zions in Clairemont. For those who dont know, Asian markets have a lot more fruit and veggies at lower prices. I buy tons of it for juicing. And they have fresh coconut so you don’t need to drink the factory bottled junk.
July 24, 2016 at 12:25 PM #799913scaredyclassicParticipanton the one hand, temecula does seem crowded. on the other hand id be thrilled if each of my 3 kids had 3 or more kids.
obviously this can get out of control quickly.

9 new people to pay for your social security checks.
July 24, 2016 at 2:37 PM #799917CoronitaParticipantThe interesting part is that at least wrto 2015, the population growth in BG’s hood is actually lower than many other parts of the county…

So I’m not sure what her concern is. I don’t think we’ll have a flood of buyers changing that anytime soon. Property values should stay “stable” there and not move that much, which it sounds like is what she wants…

There can’t be any buyers because there aren’t any sellers. Everyone has owned their home since before prop 13, (most have lived there for over 100 years) and then pass their homes on to their children who rip off everyone else by not selling and continuing to have very low property taxes.
July 24, 2016 at 4:40 PM #799920flyerParticipantThere are places I wouldn’t live if you paid me, but have gladly invested in. We know a lot of people who missed investing in real estate over the years for many reasons, and one was because they weren’t personally interested in various areas.
We’ve always tried to keep our personal choices separate from our business choices, but, imo, no one is right, wrong or demented just because they don’t care for, or are not interested in the same things others may prefer. It’s simply a difference of opinion. I would not be interested in the way many people live, but that’s just my opinion.
Fortunately, we all have different preferences in life, and hopefully each person is happy with the choices they make.

Notice that the owner is single and the only one living there.
This is a perfect specimen of a BG post. Somewhat pedantically noting a minor detail, with added emphasis to stress the import of her keen observation.
Except, the video in question is titled “Small Portland prefab home stacks space to fit family of 3.” Sorry, I’ll translate that to BG-speak: “Small Portland prefab home stacks space to fit family of 3.” And said family of 3 is featured almost constantly throughout the video.
Simply perfect.
I see the problem now. I’ve had two clients in and out this morning and DID click on brian’s link but it is now clear that we weren’t watching the same video. All I can think of is that I stopped the video and then when I came back to the utube page, I ended up watching a different video. I cannot now find the video I watched but it was NOT the same video as brian listed. The architect’s house was also remodeled to ~700 sf (he bought it originally at ~350 sf). I have no idea how he himself was able to conduct all his activities in it (3 story, incl the tiny garage), let alone a couple with a baby!
Most people endeavor to find something a little larger than 700 sf after their baby starts crawling around and needs a lot of “equipment,” lol ….
LOL.
Hopefully the clients aren’t more people you defrauded as a foreclosure consultant.
Imagine for a minute if BG had not failed the SDPD psych exam. She would’ve been roaming our streets with a gun.
*shudders*
pablo, as usual, your ego is getting the better of you and your mysogynistic tendencies are again rearing their ugly head.
In addition, you have your “facts” all wrong … could it be due to the onset of dementia?
I don’t believe you understand the definition of mysogynistic. Please explain how my post was mysogynistic. And, please explain how this has anything to do with ego.
Moreover, I’m just repeating what you’ve stated on this site. According to you, you took money from people to help them avoid foreclosure. According to you, you never helped a single client avoid foreclosure.
And, according to you, you were denied employment with the SDPD after failing the psych exam.
Want me to post your quotes?

It’s probably deleted by now.

On top of that, I’ve needed to travel a lot this summer and that is not over. Unlike you, I don’t access the internet from devices. If I’m not sitting at my desk at home and have time for this nonsense, I’m not able to go on this site.
Why don’t you consider checking out the gym 10-15 hours a week or try scaredy’s floating meditation? Methinks you spend too much time here opining on nearly everything 12 hrs per day, every day. In other words, get a life!
