List Price: $929,000
Sold Price: $951,000Wow! A sucker is born every minute!
But I stand corrected if it is a scheme to cheat a bank. Then it is a genius born! (the bank is the sucker and Barnum is still true)
cool. Iguess I can try to sell my 2004 home for 2005 price in the future……Just kidding.

August 10, 2009 at 6:59 AM #443059pepsiParticipantAre you guys saying this count as price increase ?
I would say no for this case. It was listed under-priced. The house itself is in good quality. I would say it would still sold for over 1M if it is a regular sale. Our original offer was $935K and when the higher bidder came in, the listing agent say it would cost us closer to 1M to get the house. (I guess his rounding up is in pretty large scale)
I told my agent that the best we can offer is 950K. She think the price won’t get the house and she didn’t send in the offer.August 10, 2009 at 6:59 AM #443254pepsiParticipantAre you guys saying this count as price increase ?

That is why I don’t want to use a agent to buy an REO. Glad to know you have confirmed my suspicion!
Also, I believe, the attraction of dual commissions may do some “magic” with a REO listing agent.
