Zombie brains are a really interesting issue. Zombies are not on life support they fully function, and the brain operates, albeit at a low level. A person on life support who loses brain function is no longer in possession of an operational brain as is the case of the zombie brain. Yet zombies must die. So hack away at them with anything: ashovel a crowbar a pickaxr. Just crush the brain.
